Fitness Programs - Personal Training

Not a fan of the gym or not confident enough yet? I can still help get you moving using a functional fitness approach, whilst also considering what type of exercises energise you.

Exercise Programs using a Functional Movement approach

Chances are you don't live to exercise. For many people, exercise is a way to maintain or improve their quality of life. And that's the focus of functional fitness. Exercises using functional movements train your muscles to help you do everyday activities safely and efficiently.

Your place or mine? Fitness programs can be either a mobile service (within 15km of Kingsley) at your home or an outdoor location of your choosing e.g. a nearby park, or alternatively at my place.

The 60 minute sessions can be 1:1 or a duet session with an exercise partner.

Slipper Camp - gather 3 or 4 friends - your place (if you have space), mine or Zoom

If Bootcamps and gyms are not your thing, Slipper Camp might be exactly what you’re looking for. Just get a few friends together and share the cost.

Would you like to start doing some exercise, BUT you’re not comfortable in a gym, or you’ve tried Bootcamps, hated it and now you’re put off group training?

Some Bootcamps and group fitness sessions can certainly be punishing, intimidating and basically unenjoyable. And gyms can sometimes feel like all eyes are on you, watching and judging.

Alternatively, you may have injuries or medical conditions that make exercising in these environments challenging, but you don’t feel ready for the ‘seniors’ exercise classes yet.

So what IS Slipper Camp? A gentler alternative to Bootcamp. I believe exercise and movement should be for everyone, regardless of age, ability, fitness level, size or shape.

I want to help women discover the joy of movement and get results during workouts, BUT without the yelling, screaming, shaming or judging, and definitely without a ‘go hard or go home’ attitude.

Whatever your goal is – strength, energy, improved function, mental health or stress relief – my aim is to help you get moving and to feel good about it.

The routines vary but include core, Interval Training, strength training and stretching exercises, in a friendly, relaxed, non-judgemental and supportive environment.

With skills and qualifications in both Personal Training and Occupational Therapy, I can modify exercises to suit your needs as, and if required.

Please note: If you haven't exercised for some time or have health problems, please check with your doctor before starting any new exercise program.
